The Macallan - 30 Year Old
Sherry Oak

2019 Release

Sourced under the watchful eye of The Macallan Baster of Wood, the hand-picked sherry seasoned oak casks from Jerez, Spain are delivered to the demanding specifications of The Macallan Master Distiller.

When the tree is felled, the rich timber is sawn into staves and left to dry in the open air. The staves then journey to the south of Spain, for further air drying before being crafted into casks and toasted over an open fire in the cooperages of Jerez. Filled with dry Oloroso sherry, the casks are left to season for up to two years before being emptied and shipped to The Bacallan Distillery, Speyside, Scotland.

Once filled with The Macallan's 'new make' spirit, the casks lie undisturbed for over twenty-five years. It is the oak that gives this whisky all of its natural colour and makes the greatest contribution to the quality, distinctive aromas and flavours of this single malt of great richness and character.

Whiskey Notes

Aroma: Rich Sherry, with orange clove, nutmeg, and wood smoke

Palate: Deliciously smooth, with dried fruits, sherry, orange, and wood smoke

Buffalo Trace
E.H. Taylor Collection

Through the Buffalo Trace "100 Bourbon Sets for 100 Charities", KNCB is one of the  very fortunate recipients of the Colonel E.H. Taylor Collection

While not a scotch, we have added this wonderful prize as a way to increase interest in

our raffle with a goal to raise more funds to allow KNCB to extend its programming in 2026.

KNCB's good fortune in winning the Buffalo Trace donation could be turned into your good

fortune by winning this collection!

Colonol E.H. Taylor

Colonel Edmund Haynes Taylor, Jr. is widely considered one of the founding fathers of the bourbon industry, fighting for the Bottled-in-Bond Act of 1897, nearly three decades after he purchased what is now called Buffalo Trace Distillery. During his time, Taylor implemented several innovative methods still used today, including climate controlled aging warehouses.

Barrel Proof

Crafted from hand-selected barrels, this bourbon is bottled directly from the barrel; uncut and unfiltered at more than 125 proof. It reflects the way whiskey was produced in the days before Prohibition. Drawn from barrels aged in warehouses constructed over a century ago under Taylor's watchful eye, the taste is smooth, yet powerful and uncompromising, just like its namesake.

Single Barrel

Many of the barrels selected for the E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel are aged in Warehouse C, which was built by Taylor in 1881 and proven to be an excellent aging warehouse. Each barrel is hand-picked and Bottled in Bond at 100 proof to honor its namesake. E.H. Taylor, Jr. Single Barrel is 100 proof.

Small Batch

Made by hand, this Small Batch Bourbon Whiskey has been aged inside century old warehouses constructed by E.H. Taylor, Jr.  Barrels are evaluated and selected to create a perfect blend of distinctive character that is like no other. This bourbon is a true sipping bourbon that honors the uncompromising legacy of E.H. Taylor, Jr.

The Dalmore
King Alexander III

The Dalmore King Alexander III is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky aged in six different cask types: ex-bourbon, Matusalem Sherry, Madeira, Marsala, Port, and Cabernet Sauvignon.

It features a copper-gold appearance and complex aromas of red berry fruits and passion fruit, leading to a palate with citrus zest, vanilla pod, crème caramel, and crushed almonds. The finish is characterized by notes of cinnamon, nutmeg, and ginger, resulting in a smooth yet intricate and dry experience with a warm, layered profile.

A unique single malt crafted to honor a historical event where an ancestor of the Clan Mackenzie saved King Alexander III from a stag attack, earning the right to display the 12-point royal stag on their bottles.

Whiskey Notes
