Application Request/Project Summary:
The Lifecycle of Plants - From Garden to Table

At J.W. Coon Elementary, in Fayetteville North Carolina, we are excited to share with you a project that we are planning to implement for the Exceptional Children's Department.

Our goal is to create a vegetable garden that will provide a unique learning experience for our students. The garden will feature a diverse range of vegetables, including root vegetables, tomatoes, and herbs. Through this project, we aim to teach the children about the life cycle of plants, from garden to table.

In addition to learning about plant growth and nutrition, the students will also gain an understanding of the importance of pollination, including the role of bees and hand pollination techniques. This project will not only teach the children about self-sufficiency and sustainability but also promote environmental awareness and stewardship.

By participating in this project, our students will acquire valuable knowledge and skills, including:
• Understanding the life cycle of plants and the importance of nutrition
• Learning about pollination and the role of bees
• Developing self-sufficiency and sustainability skills
• Enhancing environmental awareness and stewardship

We believe that this project will have a positive impact on our students and the broader school community. We look forward to sharing our progress and outcomes with you.
