Keep North Carolina Beautiful grant funds will be utilized to develop a pollinator garden will be near the front entrance of the Cumberland Mills school with a dual purpose. It will add beauty and natural vibrant colors to an area that is currently sandy and dry. Visitors at the school will see the garden as they park and enter the building.

The pollinator garden will have an environmental and educational purpose as well. The garden will attract local pollinators that students can observe from a distance. With the learning opportunity for students and the community to learn and better understand the important purpose pollinators perform in our ecosystems. As well as the benefit of students learning how to maintain a pollinator garden.
