Our first partner/distiller, Oaklore Distilling, is located in Charlotte, in Mecklenberg County North Carolina.

The story of Oaklore Distillery is one of friendship and community.Back in 2016 neighbors Matt and Tom, while walking their elementary kids to the bus stop, discovered a shared passion for a well-crafted whiskey. This passion quickly blossomed into a shared hobby.Fueled by this passion, Matt and Tom dedicated themselves to mastering their craft. With time, their dedication paid off, leading them to enlist the support of their close friend Travis. Together, they scouted for the perfect location for their distillery. However, their chosen spot presented a challenge – outdated zoning laws. Undeterred, they embarked on a mission to bring about change, working tirelessly with local legislators.

Oaklore spirits are a testament to this dedication. Every step of the process, from meticulous ingredient selection to stunning presentation, reflects our unwavering commitment to quality. This unwavering pursuit of excellence is ingrained in everything we do – it’s the only way we know how to create spirits worthy of your story.

At Oaklore, our passion extends beyond the spirits themselves. We celebrate the stories uncorked with every bottle. This philosophy became the heart of our business, even inspiring the distillery’s name. Oak staves, referring to the barrels essential to the aging process, all have a story to tell. Each tree, each stave, and thus each barrel, carries its own unique history. We believe the same is true for people. When you gather around a glass and share stories, the collective narrative becomes richer than any individual story.

What began as a shared passion among friends around a neighborhood bonfire now sits proudly as a bottle on the shelf. Oaklore Distilling Co. is a testament to the enduring value of dedication, community, and vision. Our deep love for both the chemistry and artistry behind exceptional craft spirits is poured into every bottle we make. From precise measurements to the patient aging process, each meticulously orchestrated step embodies our passion. We take immense pride in our craft and how it fosters a sense of community – the kind that thrives when a good drink is shared among good friends

CAROLINA PROUD

Located in Charlotte, North Carolina, Oaklore’s origins are built on the idea of community. From our material and ingredient sourcing to our partnership with local businesses,

Four Grain Bourbon Whiskey - 92 Proof

Our flagship spirit embodies the bold, savory character that defines Oaklore. This unique four-grain bourbon brings together wheat, rye, corn, and barley, all aged to perfection for 5-7 years. It’s a testament to our commitment to crafting exceptional spirits.

NC Straight Rye Whiskey - 92 Proof

Story Series: Port Cask Finish Four Grain Bourbon - 92 Proof

This unique four-grain bourbon brings together wheat, rye, corn, and barley, all aged to perfection for 6+ years. Then, after aging in a new charred white oak barrel, the whiskey is transferred to a newly dumped port wine barrel, where it continues to age for 12-18 months. It then incorporates the rich depth of port wine that lives long into the finish. Once it reaches its fullness of character, it’s then bottled for your enjoyment.

Best Woman Distiller

Kaylen Pulley, Weldon Mills Distillery

~ 19th annual Women’s International

Wine & Spirits Competition

NC Prize Package #2

Our second partner/distiller, Weldon Mills, is located in Weldon in Halifax County, NC.

"Named North Carolina Bourbon Distillery of the Year and Top 5 in the U.S."

Led by two serial accomplishers, Bruce Tyler and Michael Hinderliter, Weldon Mills Distillery is driven by a commitment to become the most accomplished distillery in North Carolina and to stand alongside the long-established legends in the bourbon and spirits industry. The desire to create, distill, and deliver products worthy of special occasions with family and friends is WMD’s driving force.

Weldon Mills Distillery, established on the banks of the Roanoke River, is shaped by many defining elements: a naturally beautiful landscape, pristine river water, and people with an unrelenting drive to succeed.

Weldon Mills Distillery benefits from the pristine waters of the Roanoke River Valley and its many natural springs and tributaries. For centuries, the region’s water was prized by Native American tribes, British settlers, and Revolutionary War armies alike. It was even requested by dignitaries and political leaders for shipment around the world for personal use. As a foundational ingredient in our award-winning bourbons, this remarkable water not only enhances the character of our spirits, but also provides a stunning natural backdrop for guests exploring Weldon Mills and the surrounding area.

There’s an old saying that something is only as good as the sum of its parts. In our case, that is especially true. Our bourbons are defined by the quality of the ingredients we use to make them. From the water to the barley, corn, and wheat, everything is locally sourced in North Carolina. We produce less bourbon than many other distilleries, but what fills our barrels for aging, and ultimately our bottles for enjoyment, is the result of the finest ingredients, our passion for the craft, and a desire to create something worthy of being shared with family and friends on life’s happiest occasions.

Mystic Bourbon

Broken Oak - 100 Proof

Bottled in Bond - 100 Proof

Market Value ~ $350

Broken Oak

Broken Oak started life in a batch of leaking barrels—an unexpected hiccup that led Mystic Farm & Distillery to re-barrel the bourbon into fresh new charred oak casks. This second maturation, accidental yet inspired, resulted in a uniquely rich bourbon that’s received back-to-back accolades, including Double Gold and Best in Class honors at the San Francisco World

Spirits Competition in 2023 and 2024.

This limited single-barrel release is only available direct from the distillery.

Bottled in Bond

Mystic is proud to handcraft this superior spirit from the farm to the bottle as a unique expression of the North Carolina Piedmont. Here we are blessed with natural bounty from the crisp waters of our on-site aquifer to the rich corn and wheat harvests and the distinctive aging climate in our small Rick House. We select and blend a few barrels of bourbon from each distilling season for limited release bottling “in bond” in compliance with 27 C.F.R. 5.42(B)(3).

Mystic embodies full transparency and quality—from the corn and wheat they grow on-site, to the crisp aquifer water, and aging in their own rackhouse. Each bottling blends select barrels from a single distilling season, reinforcing the spirit’s authenticity and craftsmanship.

Mystic’s Bottled‑in‑Bond has earned top honors—most notably a Gold Medal at the 2024 San Francisco World Spirits Competition, a testament to its exceptional quality.
